 Hello!
I'm Carol, a professional dog groomer and the owner of Groovy Groomers.Many years ago I started my career as a hairdresser. Whilst I enjoyed this I have always had a passion for and wanted to work with animals. I decided to follow my heart and swap from grooming people to grooming dogs. Whilst some of my hairdressing skill is transferrable, dogs are whole different ball game (people tend not to move around or bite you quite as much!) so I undertook extensive retraining and I gained my professional qualification Certificate III in Companion Animal Services and Professional Dog Grooming Certificate. I have also completed Introduction to Canine Myofunctional Therapy (Dog Massage), and a certificate in Dog First Aid I work from a purpose built salon at home in Werribee (previously in Williams Landing). I have fitted out the salon to a very high standard and furnished it with the best equipment available and included heating and cooling for the dog's comfort. I use only the highest quality products, shampoos and conditioners to cater for all skin and fur types and all sizes of dog. If there is a particular shampoo that you prefer I use for your little angel, feel free to bring your own. I hand wash and hand dry each dog straight from the bath, I do not cage dry I work one on one with your dog, using positive support methods and gentle grooming techniques to provide a quiet and stress free environment for your pet. Constant supervision and a focus on your dog's welfare are always guaranteed. The dog's welfare is of utmost importance in my view - my job is all about the dog. I dislike the factory-line grooming that some of the pet superstores operate by, I prefer to take my time and go at a pace the dog is comfortable with, never rushing. I treat all dogs like they were my own - with tender loving care Groovy Groomers is open by appointment only Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 5pm - bookings are essential (call 0403 107 058 to make one). I run my appointments by time so your dog is only in the salon as long as it takes me groom them. I look forward to meeting you and your furbabies soon |
